Graduated South Carolina Driver's License
The Department of Motor Vehicles has issued a new PDLA form that must be completed for the Graduated South Carolina Driver's License effective for a beginner's permit on or after March 6, 2002. This new form includes the parent affidavit for the forty (40) hour requirement to document driving practice supervised by the parent or legal guardian. This section must be notarized by a Notary Public.
The Department of Motor Vehicles accepts only the original PDLA document, no copies or faxes are allowed. Questions regarding the new forms should be addressed to the Department of Motor Vehicles, Driver Improvement Section at 803-896-9918.
